My review on the game,
Short version- Rushed, clunky and a waste of time, the other million people saying its garbage, yes its very hot garbage.
Honest long version (rant)-
Well there are just TOO many things wrong with this game to put into one comment. But here goes, perhaps the one that is more noticable is the music which barely plays at all while exploring the world or while in town, maybe it starts up a little than fades out, for extra music you have a tone dial that is used like an mp3 player, but it isnt a fix because it keeps playing over any battle music that supposed to start, that alone is a huge con in my book, good music but barely ever plays..
The lack of voice acting, which is limited to cutscenes only, god how boring it is listening to their moans or grunts, cause thats all they do.
Now the gameplay..the CLUNKY AS FUCK gameplay, the ai for one is dumb as bricks yet they're accuracy with a gun is inhuman, they can spot you miles away and shoot you dead on target even if you're soaring through the air. They also become invincible as soon as they get knocked to the ground, goodluck with those flying enemies, damage doesnt connect untill they get on their feet..its tedious, some of your attacks even push them back at times to the point were your final attack doesnt even connect, the dodge mechanic blows, the blocking, locking on, all suck, just the fact that we only have ONE attack button really says how mind numbingly boring the gameplay is gonna be, and it is..of course they could of added square for light attacks and triangle for heavy to mix things up a little, but nah, that would complicate it too much right? I forgot this was geared towards three year olds. And the side quests oh god are they HORRIBLE, most of them are fetch quests, collect this, collect that, collecting materials is all you can really do in this damn game, some quests end up being completed right on the spot cause you already have everything..and to top it all off, its a SHORT ass game, the total side quests make up for a whole third of the game. Around 5 hour story – 15 hour running around a lifeless music-less boring world doing repetitive fetch quests with the occasional "go there kill this guy" quest. Zero side activities.
The story is alright, but I would have preferred this story was put into a movie instead of this..
There are SOO many more flaws and issues that I have with this game that it just isnt worth $60, hell its not even worth half the price, maybe worth $10 at most, and than theres an additional $30 for dlc? What a joke.
Support good games everyone.. needless to say I am huge One Piece fan which is why I am so very disappointed. :/
